Welcome

Building on its history as the illustrious XL Initiative, B.TEC, the Bermuda Technology Education Collaborative, is opening the gateway to a world of information and communications for Bermuda's public school students, their teachers, parents and community.

This innovative project is made possible through the generosity and joint funding of the XL Foundation, the Ministry of Education and Development and our Corporate Partners. The computer science and technology curriculum and teacher training are being developed in collaboration with Stanford University and the Curry Center for Technology and Teacher Education at the University of Virginia, two of the world's top institutions specializing in technology in education.

The work of B.TEC is accomplished through our Task Force, comprising of a Steering Committee overseeing five representative committees: Curriculum, Staff Development, Evaluation, Infrastructure and Collaboration. B.TEC has also established a number of successful pilot projects that have taken technology in education in Bermuda to new heights. We invite you to explore the possibilities with us!
