The B.TEC model is based upon creating a collaborative that builds capacity and sustainability for the systemic integration of information technology into the public school system. Through the collaboration among public and private sectors, business community and education stakeholders, the B.TEC model.
- CURRICULUM COMMITTEE
Charged with promoting the development, implementation and support of a technology- infused, dynamic and modular, world-class curriculum for all levels of education in Bermuda
- STAFF DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
Charged with establishing and implementing an effective, sustainable professional development system, which will prepare and support teachers’ use of information technology to enhance teaching and learning
- EVALUATION COMMITTEE
Charged with establishing a comprehensive, standards-based accountability and evaluation system to measure student learning as identified by the I.T. curriculum and to assist in providing resources for assessment methods, tools and protocol development in areas related to Information Technology
- INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE
Charged with designing a single network to support the integration of technology into learning and administrative functions so as to provide enough capacity for current and for future uses
- COLLABORATION COMMITTEE
Charged with creating a synergistic and sustainable partnership among all stakeholder representatives, providing the requisite expertise and resources ensuring the successful integration of technology into the public school system
